Janet Yellen Visits Phoenix

According to Catherine Reagor’s Real Estate and Growth Blog, Dr. Janet L. Yellen, economist, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco will be in Phoenix to talk about Arizona’s economy next week.

One of twelve districts banks represented in the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco provides wholesale banking services to financial institutions in the nine western states through its head office in San Francisco, branch offices in Los Angeles, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Seattle, and a cash processing office located here in Phoenix.

Janet L. YellenAccording to her District Biography – Dr. Yellen has written on a wide variety of macroeconomic issues, while specializing in the causes, mechanisms and implications of unemployment. As a 2009 voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee, Dr. Yellen brings her District’s perspective to policy discussions in Washington.

Dr. Yellen is visiting Phoenix to serve as keynote speaker at the Phoenix Chapter of Lambda Alpha International, Fall Real Estate Seminar this November 10th. I’m sure that she’ll provide a very captivating economics presentation.

Affectionately know to some as Janet “Quit Your” Yellen, she’s scheduled to provide her insights into the outlook for the economy and factors that will impact recovery, including unemployment, consumer spending, housing and commercial real estate prospects and inflation.

So, if you’d like to listen to Dr. Yellen’s insights and perspectives concerning current economic conditions, and possibly meet her in person, then register for the Fall Real Estate Seminar while seating is still available.
