Bailout Failure Blame

Now that the Wall Street bailout plan has been voted down by the House of Representatives, fingers are starting to be pointed, and some in Congress are looking for someone to blame. According to some of the news sources, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is being blamed for the bailout failure.

So, I met with some Congressional aides to ask why those Congressmen are laying blame with the Speaker of the House? Their representatives told me that they spoke with Ms. Pelosi about the reason for the plan’s failure, and gave me a video of what they told her:

I then decided to meet with Ms. Pelosi for her view of the situation. The House Speaker didn’t gain her political position by being a shrinking violet and strongly disagrees with her Congressional colleagues.

Here’s a video of her response:

So, it looks like Congress is back to the drawing board to come up with a plan agreeable to everyone. Now that the House knows where their leader stands, I’m sure theĀ new bill (pdf) will unfortunately be passed quickly.

Great article? It’s a joke. “Funny” article would have been better description.

There are no other issues to be discussed. It doesn’t matter what I say. The politicians are going to do whatever’s in their best interests, regardless of any rhetoric we “cannon fodder” spew.
